Planning for Health and Wellness

Wellness is not a guarantee, but Cascade PBS encourages team members to make a plan for their health needs.  Whether it’s riding your bike to work or joining in a “walking club,” there are steps everyone can take.

We offer medical insurance from Kaiser Permanente with three plan options. The first two are qualified high-deductible health plans (QHDHP), eligible for pairing with a Health Savings Account. The third option, the Buy-Up PPO plan, offers a lower deductible, and some of the covered services may only require you to pay a copay before the plan pays due to the deductible being waived. 

Our dental plan is offered through Delta Dental of Washington. We also offer a vision plan through Delta Dental of WA (DeltaVision) and Cascade PBS pays 100% of the vision premiums.

Taking Care of Life and Disability Insurance

Cascade PBS provides life insurance at no cost to you.  We also provide Accidental Death and Dismemberment (ADD), Long Term Disability (LTD) and Short Term Disability (STD). Cascade PBS pays 100% of the premiums for these plans.

Investing in Your Future

As a Cascade PBS team member you have two ways to save for your retirement.

You can participate in our traditional 401k or Roth IRA and save part of your salary with a match of 25% on every dollar up to 6% of your salary.

In addition, once you have completed one eligible year of service, you will be part of the annual discretionary plan and be eligible for a contribution to your account of up to 5% of your annual salary.

Every year there are options to meet with financial advisors either in a class setting or one-on-one to help with your retirement planning.

Getting Here

Cascade PBS encourages its team members to use public transportation where and when possible to help alleviate traffic congestion and steward our natural resources. To assist with commuting expenses, all Cascade PBS team members are eligible to receive an ORCA card for public transit use in the region. Cascade PBS covers 100% of the monthly cost!

For those commuting by car, you may pay for a parking in our parking garage.

Cascade PBS offers eleven paid holidays per year, including:

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Cascade PBS believes that time away from work is conducive to good health and well-being. Team Members begin accruing paid time off on their first day worked. Upon completion of the 90-day introductory period, and with the supervisor’s approval, team members may begin using their available balance. Those working less than 40 hours per week, shall accrue prorated PTO benefits based on hours worked. 

Team members accrue based on length of service, starting with 20 hours of PTO annually up to 27 days annually. You may carry over PTO days from year to year, up to a maximum of 240 hours.

The Cascade PBS benefits package for 2025 equates to approximately 25% of additional compensation above annual gross earnings.
